POETRY COLLECTION ILLUSTRATIONS
Rowen was tapped to assist in illustrations for Poetry Collection by Samothy. Although the book never came to be they Rowen was able to finalize multilple illustrations for this project. See the finalized works they created for the book with multiple options due to unknown printing specifications.

FLOOD
The first work that Rowen used as an example of their work for the publisher was based on 'Flood', a poem about trauma, the overwhelming emotions around it and the racial tension that can come from the experience of a black american with the intense impact this creates.
REMAINS
For this poem, 'Remains' describing the experiences of difficult relationships and feeling used and discarded by those you love. I emphasized the confusing feelings of someone who loves you nonchalantley disrespecting you. The version to the left is if it is one paged with a typed poem and the version below is the poem integrated into the illustrations with the original hand writing of the poet.
COOKED
In the poem 'Cooked' there is a sense of frustration that Rowen made a point to communicate as well as the chaos of living in a city. The top version is with the poem integrated into the image and below is the sketch and to the right a single page image if needed.
